Directors
Rich Crevier
Rich Crevier began in 2001 as the clubs seventh executive director. He brings with him 22 years of Boys & Girls Club experience from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he served as Program Director. The future is straight ahead.
Bob Berg
Bob Berg served as executive director from 1987-2001. In 1991, the club was officially recognized as the DAR Boys & Girls Club of Menominee. A lack of funds and volunteer support forced the club to look for new ways to find what it needed. Those goals were reached and the club was again able to offer many of its old favorites, woodshop, craft classes, gym and billiards with paid staff as supervisors. New computer technology and internet access created additional learning tools for members. Classes on drug prevention and career development were are made available. Meals started being served to members and hours were adjusted to accommodate school vacation days and summer recess.
Paul Neumann
Paul Neumann, the clubs fifth executive director, served from 1973-1987. During this time, girls were allowed to become members.. boxing was phased out and ballet was introduced. Economic hard times hit and membership declined along with community financial support.
Bill Burr
Bill Burr served as executive director from 1971-1973.
Walter Schmitt
Walter Schmitt was the third, and longest-serving director in club history. For 35 years, he managed the club and brought programs to a whole new level. During his tenure, boxing became a popular activity. Members were also able to enjoy leather crafts and gymnastics. A drum & bugle corps was even formed. Mr. Schmitt organized and staffed a club library. Squad nights were established to assure each member had an opportunity to take part in all the club had to offer.
Walter Sedenquist
Walter Sedenquist was chosen as the second director of the club serving for four years.
Mrs. Henrietta "Ma" Vennema

Mrs. Henrietta "Ma" Vennema served as the first Executive Director of the D.A.R. Boys & Girls Club. She, along with ladies from the local D.A.R. Chapter, ran the club for 16 years. During this time, the DAR Club chartered with the National Boys Club movement, making it one of the first Boys Clubs in the state of Michigan and one of 20 clubs nationally. The club boasted 1,000 members and the juvenile delinquency problem of the time all but disappeared.
